| UERY night from euen till morne,
oue's Quirister amidde the thorne
s now so sweet a singer ;
o sweet, as for her song I scorne
pollo's voice, and finger.
ut Nightingale, sith you delight
uer to watch the starry night ;
ell all the starres of heauen,
eauen neuer had a starre so bright,
s now to Earth is giuen.
oyall Astræa makes our day
ternall with her beames, nor may
rosse darknesse ouercome her ;
now perceiue why some doe write,
o countrey hath so short a night,
s England hath in Summer.
