Epitaph on Sir Edward Saquevile's
Child, who dyed in his Birth
.

by Edward, Lord Herbert of Chirbury

Reader, here lies a Child that never cry'd,
                And therefore never dy'd.
                'Twas neither old nor yong,
Born to this and the other world in one :
                Let us them cease to mone,*
Nothing that ever dy'd hath liv'd so long.

* Moan.
